Pookalam Varavayi: Here’s why Kalyani might succeed in killing Saptathi’s unborn baby

The story of Pookalam Varavayi took a completely unexpected turn when Kalapurackal Kalyanikutty was revealed to be the evil mastermind. Now instead of worrying about Sharmila, who for some reason has been missing in action all this while, Samyuktha and Saptathi now have a new enemy to worry about. On one hand, Kalyani is trying to trap Abhimanyu and ruin his and Samyuktha’s happiness. On the other hand, she’s trying to kill Saptathi’s unborn baby in her womb itself. Read on to know why we fear she might be successful in doing so.

Sharmila and Saptathi have been trying to get rid of Saptathi’s unborn baby for quite some time now. Whether it was by trying to trip her with a banana peel, or by making her drink papaya juice, they’ve tried almost every trick in the book to try and kill the poor baby in her womb itself. But despite their multiple attempts, these evil ladies have never been successful in their attempts.

Kalyani, on the other hand, is not using any typical tricks. She’s not trying to directly harm Saptathi physically but is playing with her mind. Kalyani clearly noticed how Saptathi is a naive girl who is utterly dedicated to her prayers and worship. She decided to take advantage of this situation and made her believe that something bad is going to happen to her.

Once she successfully planted that thought in Saptathi’s mind, it was only a matter of time before she came to Kalyani for help. And that was when she talked about how Saptathi will have to face great danger if she doesn’t fast for four days straight, without even drinking a drop of water. Now, anyone who thinks rationally would clearly understand the kind of harm this would cause to their unborn baby. But Saptathi being the naive girl she is, started fasting without thinking twice.

Now we saw Kalyani and Saudamini rejoicing at the thought of this. Surely, this is not the only trick Kalyani has up her sleeve. In fact, if by any chance Saptathi and her baby are safe even after this fast, or if the fast gets broken, Kalyani will surely use it to her benefit, similar to how she used to incident about Saptathi throwing the special neyy. She might make her do something even more extreme than this as a way to repent, which would in turn harm the baby.

Saptathi’s weakness is pretty evident from her body language. If she pushes herself any further she’ll not just harm the baby, but herself as well. Moreover, she’s lying to Samyuktha, the only person who could help her. Even if Samyuktha tells her the truth, at this point, Saptathi won’t even listen to her. And unless she opens up to her sister, there’s very little chance for her and her baby to escape unscathed from Kalyani’s trap.
