Rashmi Rocket Star Taapsee Pannu Splits Beans On Characters She Loves To Play; Says ‘I Have Played A Different Kind Of Card In My Career’

Taapsee Pannu had played the role of Rumi Bagga in her film Manmarziyaan also starring Abhishek Bachchan. In the film, her character was torn between her husband and a toxic lover. Taapsee even played the timid role of Amrita in Thappad. Her character at one point realizes that she has to stand up for herself. Taapsee Pannu has nailed every character with her excellent acting skills and love for the characters she plays.

Taapsee Pannu’s next film Rashmi Rocket will release on October 15, 2021, in theatres. As she is pulling her sleeves for her upcoming film Rashmi Rocket, so while talking to a leading portal, Taapsee Pannu shared her thoughts about what drives her as an actor. She said that she is not chasing external validation. Taapsee also said that she loves to play real women she meets in her real life.

Taapsee went on to add that she had always tried to play characters that represent the young, aspirational women of India in the present day and time. She said that she is not someone who wants to be this Bollywood diva who is oh-so-glamorous. Taapsee said that she had played a different kind of card in her career. She has tried to portray women she has met in real life through all her roles. She has tried to talk about ordinary women growing up in the country who believe nothing is impossible. Those are the kind of women she always wants to play on screen. Taapsee wants to tell their stories, represent them in such a manner that has never been done before.
