Rashmi, a young girl from Gujarat expresses an ambition to become a runner. As the story progresses, Rashmi then gets an opportunity to learn on real tracks, in real sporting arenas to achieve her dreams.
It’s a real life story:
Rashmi Rocket isn’t a fictional character but a real one. The little girl is born in Gujrat and has a stubborn mind of her own which never allows her to give up and always adds fuel to her running speed.
Shows the unseen face of the Indian sports
One section shows how Rashmi did everything to make her country proud but the ones maintaining the pride didn’t seem happy to see a girl make such a wild progress so it also shows the ugly face of the Indian Sports and their manipulative treatment.
Brilliant Performance By Taapsee
Taapsee have done tremendous training to get into Rashmi’s shoes and by the looks of the trailer we are looking at this as another one of Taapsee’s absolutely bang on performances. Seeing her strides and running postures, it’s safe to say that she’s done her role very neatly. Rashmi Rocket’s story reminds us of professional sprinter Dutee Chand, who won two silver medals at the 2018 Asian Games. But, back in 2014, she was banned from competing as a female because of high testosterone levels in her body.
Publicity And Awareness
Rashmi Rocket has been a very passionate project for the makers and they’ve left no degree loose of the camera angle and have showed every facet of truth. This movie very well covers the hurdles that a woman faces to achieve her dreams and how even after being better than the best Rashmi has a never ending battle to fight on every stride she takes
NO Glamour Element:
Even if it’s a biopic, the makers have kept it as clean slated, simple, factual and to the point. There’s ofcourse a bit of masala element which won’t disappoint the audience but with the looks of the trailer it’s going to open alot of unknown facts about running, trust, self-worth, confidence and so much more.
Directed by Akarsh Khurana, Rashmi Rocket’s cast also includes Priyanshu Painyuli, Abhishek Banerjee and Supriya Pathak.
