1) His full name

Just like his list of applaudable films, Ravi Teja’s actual name is long too! His full name is Bhupatiraju Ravi Shankar Raju, which he shortened to Ravi Teja as his stage name.

2) His birthplace

Ravi Teja was born to pharmacist Gopal Raju, and homemaker Rajya Lakshmi Bhupatiraju in a small town in Andhra Pradesh called Jaggampeta. The actor has two brothers, Bharath and Raghu who also happen to be actors! Ravi Teja is the eldest of the three brothers.

3) The cities he lived in

Have you ever wondered how Ravi Teja has such an incredible command over Hindi? He owes this to his background of migration to different places. During his childhood, the actor lived in four cities; Delhi, Mumbai, Bhopal, and Jaipur. As a result of this, the actor is fluent in Hindi. We have seen him deliver dialogues in Hindi as naturally as he delivers them in Telugu, and now we know why!

4) The best roommates

When Ravi Teja decided that he wanted to be an actor, he packed his bags for Chennai in 1998. While we might have heard about the struggles he faced there, only a few know about the fact that his roommates were none other than screenwriter- director-producer Y. V. S. Chowdary and Gunashekhar. The house is most certainly a lucky one because they are all at great heights in their respective careers now!

5) Awards and nominations

It takes immense perseverance and hard work to achieve what the actor has done, coming from a humble background. Over the years, he made people storm into the theatres, all thanks to his talent which had to be recognised and rewarded! Ravi Teja was nominated for four Filmfare awards, and he also went on to win three Nandi awards!

6) His schooling and college life 

Throughout his schooling, the actor had stayed in different cities and states. However, he finished schooling at the N.S.M. Public School in Vijaywada. After this, he earned a bachelor’s degree in arts from the Siddhartha Degree College in Vijaywada. Post his degree, Ravi Teja decided that he wanted to be an actor and there was no looking back!
