Shubhangi Atre Puri is an Indian television actress. She initially rose to fame with her role of Kasturi Chawla in the show Kasturi. However, her most loved and recognised role has been that of Angoori in the popular tv show Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain. She is known for her famous catchphrase dialogue ‘Sahi Pakde Hain’ from the show.
Early Life And Family:
Shubhangi was born on 11 April 1981 in Pachmarhi, Madhya Pradesh. Her father used to be posted in the Public Works Department. Due to that, he got numerous transfers and so the family moved around a lot in many areas around Indore. She completed her graduation from Holkar College, Indore. Shubhangi is a trained Kathak Dancer.
Later she went onto get an MBA Degree from DAVV. During this time she also won the title of Miss Madhya Pradesh, 2003. She got married to Piyush Poorey in 2007 and also has a little daughter named Aashi Poorey.
Career:
Before entering the TV world, Atre shot a print ad for a shampoo brand that was a regional product.
Post marriage she began her acting career in the year 2006 when she got a role in the show Kasauti Zindagi Kii.
In 2010, she was a part of the show Do Hanso Ka Joda.
Next, she was seen as a lead in the show titled Kasturi.
Havan was her next project where she played a negative character.
In the year 2013, Shubhangi replaced actress Shilpa Shinde in the popular sitcom called Chidiya Ghar.
In 2015, she was a part of Gulmohar Grand as Kadambari.
Coincidentally in 2016, she again replaced the same actress in the show Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain and played the role of Angoori Tiwari.
The same year she also portrayed the character of Devsena in Adhuri Kahaani Humari.
Besides Tv, Shubhangi has also been a part of a few films and advertisements.
