Bollywood Stars Mourn the Loss of Sidney Poitier Tributes to the late actor Sidney Poitier has begun rushing in on social media from celebrities like Anil Kapoor, Manoj Bajpayee, Anupam Kher to actress Dia Mirza and many more Unbelievable Hollywood entertainer Sidney Poitier has died at 94 years old, leaving an unavoidable void in the Hollywood business.

Poitier, most popular for his film commitments, was the first black man to win the Oscar for Best Actor. The historic actor and a motivator who changed how Black individuals were depicted on screen and turned into the first Black actor to win an Academy Award for best lead actor and the first to be a top film industry draw, has kicked the bucket. The demise of the late actor inspired many Bollywood celebrities and to this, Bollywood big names alternate on social networks to honor Sidney Poitier as they grieve his passing.

Anil Kapoor took to Twitter to impart an uncommon photograph of himself to the actor. “Sidney Poitier, my childhood idol, the inspiration of a lifetime and star of some of my favorite movies … Forever your fan and admirer … Rest in peace.”

Anupam Kher honored Poitier with a photograph of their gathering in 2013, penning: “I had the honor of meeting the legendary actor #SidneyPoitier in early 2013. He was gentle, compassionate, and generous with his time to me. We talked about Indian cinema. He was especially happy to know that I had a theater school. I was in heaven when he said he would like to visit it someday. He was a fantastic actor, a remarkable person and he had a great aura around him! Dia Mirza posted a photograph of the late actor in her Instagram Story, depicting him as a “star, icon, and legend.”

Also, Richa Chadha reviewed a notable scene concerning Sidney Poitier and previous US President Barack Obama “Rest in peace legend, pioneer and icon. Sidney Poitier.”

Randeep Hooda also mourned the passing of Sidney by sharing a black and white picture of the late actor, on his Instagram story. The tag with the photo read, “rip”. Manoj Bajpayee the National Award-winning actor also tweeted, “REST IN PEACE !!! #SidneyPoitier”.
