1. Ranveer Singh

Ranveer Singh is known for his lively energy when it comes to brand endorsements. In 2019, Duff & Phelps released a report on India’s most valuable celebrity, where Ranveer Singh bagged the 4th position in the list, with a brand value of $63 million. Now, he is endorsing more than 25 brands which include a mix of consumer products, gadgets, luxury goods, and lifestyle products. When Ranveer Singh became the brand face of Ching’s, he charged a whopping amount of Rs 75 crores. It is one of the most expensive ads ever made. Ranveer Singh is ahead in endorsing because advertisers think that he represents “a very mass, youth, inspirational, story of a person who came from outside the industry and made it big almost on his own by simply working hard. It was out there for the public to see how he grew from film to film.”

2. Akshay Kumar

Akshay Kumar is one of India’s most powerful celebrity brands—worth USD 104.5 million (or an estimated Rs 742 crore)—as per Duff & Phelps’ Celebrity Brand Valuation in 2019. He currently endorses 30 brands as per the study. It is also said that he’s the preferred choice of voice for the ‘Personal care’ segment of products along with being one of the top 5 celebrities endorsing ‘Product Brands with Maximum Digital Media Impact’ with GOQii and Honda. Some of the brands that he has worked for include Honda, Nirma, Policy Bazaar, Livguard Energy, Kajaria Tile,s Harpic, among others.

3. Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka has endorsed top brands such as Bumble, Pepsi, Garnier, Nirav Modi, Ponds, Blenders Pride, etc. She is known to charge over 5 crores for a single ad and even Rs 2.5 crores for an Instagram post for brand promotion. Her brand value is estimated to be around Rs 2.65 billion, with a net worth of $50 million in 2021. She was featured on the 2019 Hopper HQ’s ‘Instagram Rich List’ and was named Asia’s best-paid celebrity influencer. Priyanka has created history by being the first-ever Indian to be the brand ambassador for Guess in 2013 and her one-year contract, according to reports, was worth between $700,000 and $1.5 million.

4. Katrina Kaif

Katrina Kaif is said to charge over 9 crores per endorsement deal and the net worth is estimated to be $30 million in 2021. She endorses many brands including Nykaa, Kay beauty, Reebok, Oppo, Metro shoes, etc. Apart from being one of the most sought-after names in the brand world, Katrina is also a regular on most ‘search’ and ‘popularity measurement’ lists. After her film, ‘Bharat’, she has been approached in the F&B and lifestyle spaces, all of whom are ready to offer almost 40 percent more than her brand fee. Katrina Kaif is a name that every brand wants on board. Brand expert, Jagdeep Kapoor has said that Katrina Kaif is a brand in herself and “The brands she endorses have their image, perceived value and sales enhanced. Despite the competition, she has unique traits and stands out amongst others.”

5. Shah Rukh Khan

Shah Rukh Khan is a well-known face worldwide. He has been in many brand advertisements. He started his brand journey with Liberty Shoes in 1988 and went on to represent huge brands like Pepsi, LML, Nokia, Dish TV, D’Decor, LUX, Big Basket, BYJU’S. According to Duff & Phelps ‘Celebrity Brand Valuation Study 2019’, Shah Rukh Khan’s Brand value stood at $66.1 million and he was ranked the fifth consecutively in 2018 and 2019. According to a TAM report that provides a ranking of top 10 celebrities in brand endorsements space, Shah Rukh added a 3% share of ad volume on TV with an average visibility of 4 hours per day across all channels.
