In his most recent manifesto, the Sacramento Kings star, 30, published a quotation about confronting his demons in an apparent attempt to elicit empathy from his fans. ‘Face your demons,’ he penned in white characters on a black background, ‘and they may become your greatest asset.’ Two additional lines preceded the remark, one of which stated, ‘Sometimes you don’t recognise your own power until you confront your biggest weakness.’ Hide behind your demons, or they’ll eventually suffocate your ability,’ the other suggested.

The dramatic statements appear to be a plea for compassion as the father-of-three seeks to recuperate with his most egregious misstep, which has brought him back into the spotlight for his constant extramarital affairs. Earlier this month, the Canadian-born athlete took to social media to admit to fathering a hidden kid amid his revived romance with Khloe, 37, with fitness model Maralee Nichols, 31.

Tristan acknowledged on his Instagram Stories, ‘Today paternity testing results indicate that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols.’ ‘I am fully accountable for my behaviour.’ I’m looking forward to parenting our youngster together now that paternity has been proven. ‘I genuinely apologise to everyone I’ve harmed or deceived both privately and publicly throughout this journey.’

Tristan then apologised profusely to Khloe, saying, ‘Khloe, you don’t deserve this.’ You don’t deserve to suffer and disgrace I’ve inflicted on you. You don’t demand to be treated the way I have throughout the years.’ The kid was conceived from around the time the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star raved about their love online, contributing to the scandal’s stinging.
