According to the revelations in the book, Hema and Sanjeev had come close during the shooting of the songs Hawa Ke Saath for the film Sita and Geeta. During the shooting of this song, both were injured while skating and this incident brought both of them closer. Many people feel that during this time both were attracted towards each other.

Sanjeev Kumar’s mother also liked Hema but the actor’s family wanted Hema to stop working in films after marriage. Hema’s mother did not like this thing. After this, when Sanjeev and her mother came to Hema’s house to ask for her hand, the actress’ mother refused to approve the marriage and from here the love story of both of them ended.

He wanted this kind of perfect woman who according to me does not exist. This is the reason why he could not settle for the rest of his life.
