Yami Gautam The Unapologetic Bollywood Beauty Talks About Her ‘Incurable’ Skin Condition: Keratosis-Pilaris

The natural beauty of Bollywood Yami Gautam, after being featured on beauty product advertisements for perfect and shiny looking skin, the actress went to Instagram and shared unfiltered and unedited photos of herself for showcasing her ‘flaws’. In just a blink of an eye, the post went viral and this post struck the chord of the netizens as Yami talked about letting go of her fear and anxiety, by embracing the skin condition she has called Keratosis pilaris.

Bollywood actress Yami Gautam talks about her medical condition, which she has struggled with since she was a teenager. To break through her insecurities and feel comfortable on her skin, she talked about it with her Instagram family.

The Vicky Donner actress said these photos were sent for post-production to conceal the bumps. But she refused to do so and she chose to accept it. She writes: “Hi, Yami, why don’t you accept this fact and accept it enough to be okay? Leave it as it is … (Yes, I’m talking to myself out loud).”

The Tinseltown actress reassured her fans that her condition isn’t as bad as one may think and even wrote funnily. They aren’t as bad as your neighbour aunty makes it out to be.

As she has been dealing with this condition from her teenage days, she thinks, it perhaps is high time for her to leave her “fear and insecurities” behind. Yami also revealed that her condition has “NO” cure. However, given no harm, she thought it was the right time to be “OKAY” with it.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Yami Gautam was last seen alongside Arjun Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in a movie. The Uri: The Surgical Strike star has some exciting projects lined up. She will appear in Aniruddha Roy Chaudhary directorial, Lost.
Alongside Abhishek Bachchan, she has Dasvi and a sequel of OMG with the co-star Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi.
