Yash Raj Films To Announce 5 Big Releases To Commemorate 50 Years Of YRF!

The famous production house, Yash Raj Films, is celebrating its 50th year of operations this year. Now, the owner of the house, Aditya Chopra is reportedly all set to announce the release of five projects to commemorate 50 years of Yash Raj Films. As per a report in a daily, a source has informed that “Aditya Chopra revealing his grand plan for YRF 50 has been one of the most awaited announcements in Bollywood. With theatres now operating at 100 percent occupancy, the production company will now roll out their ambitious celebration plan, comprising the announcement of a few new films”.

Along with it, Aditya Chopra intends on celebrating the YRF 50 sticking to theatre releases only. “Aditya Chopra had planned that the YRF 50 announcement will take place in the theatres and he is sticking to that. The production house didn’t release any of its films on OTT platforms during the pandemic as it wanted theatrical releases for all of them”, the source added.

The list of YRF’s big 5 released boasts of famous Bollywood celebrities and exciting stories. Ranveer Singh featuring Jayeshbhai Jordaar has reportedly completed its production work and is now all set to hit the silver screen. On the other hand, Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra’s Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar was scheduled to hit the theatres in March 2020.

Owing to the sudden COVID-19 lockdown, the release of the film was postponed. Aditya Chopra did not release the film on an OTT platform amidst the lockdown. Instead, now the film is up for release this year. Not only that, but Sandeep and Pinky Faraar will be the first YRF movie to hit the silver screen this 2021.

Another project Bunty Aur Babli 2, featuring Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukerji and Siddhant Chaturvedi has created quite a buzz. The sequel is much-anticipated by fans who are waiting to watch what the makers have in store for them. The last two films on the list are Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chillar starrer historical film Prithviraj. Lastly, Ranbir Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor’s Shamsher completes YRF’s 5 big release list this year.
