TV Actor Samir Sharma Commits Suicide: Reflecting His Role As A Father In Zee’s Bhootu

Zee TV actor Samir Sharma who played the role of Subodh Bose in Bhootu allegedly died by suicide at his Malad flat on Thursday, 6 August 2020. The actor was 44 years old and according to reports Samir was found hanging from his kitchen ceiling fan. The cops have reportedly said that the accidental death report has been registered and the body has been sent for autopsy.
The report further says that the actor had rented the Malad flat in February this year and his body was found by his building watchman. The cops were quoted saying that looking at the condition of the body, it is suspected that he committed suicide two days ago. The actor shared a note on depression on his Instagram after Sushant Singh Rajput’s death and spoke about the condition a depressed person goes through while fighting mental health issues.
In the show Bhootu, Samir essayed the role of Pihu’s father and the storyline of the serial revolved around Bhootu a friendly ghost. Later, Samir was replaced by actor Vimarsh Roshan as he was suffering from dengue. Bhootu is the story about a 7-year old friendly ghost who loves to play with her friends and she is quite close to her mother. She gets upset knowing that no one can see her and relates every new tenant as her family. She tries to solve their problems with her magical powers and finally gets reunited with her family before the redemption of her soul.
The actor was part of several TV shows and films. Samir who hails from Delhi was working in Bengaluru before he moved to Mumbai to pursue his acting career.
