Sidharth Malhotra To Join Amitabh Bachchan In Aankhen 2?

Indian film director and producer Anees Bazmee had reportedly faced a lot of difficulties while casting for his upcoming film titled Aankhen 2. As per the reports, after a lot of problems he has finally been able to lock the cast for his upcoming project after finalizing Student of the Year fame Siddharth Malhotra. Reports have claimed that initially Bollywood actors Kartik Aryan and Anil Kapoor were approached for the film but due to busy schedules, both of them could not be a part of this project. After this, actors Saif Ali Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez were asked to be a part of Aankhen 2 but they didn’t quite ‘fit the role’ for the film. Finally, after a lot of difficulties, Anees Bazmee finalized Baar Baar Dekho star Sidharth Malhotra

Aankhen 2 is reportedly going to be quite similar to the 2002 film Aankhen when it comes to the plotline but it will definitely have an ‘Anees Bazmee twist’ to it. Aankhen was a Bollywood blockbuster and received immense love and appreciation from the audience. Aankhen 2 will also have veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan and is expected to fare the same. In the film, Siddharth Malhotra will be seen essaying the role of a blind man.

As per the reports, producer Anees Bazmee has claimed that co-producer Gaurang Doshi is not ‘letting the movie proceed’. Keeping this in mind, other producers will pool some money to take Gaurang Doshi out of the project so that the film can ‘smoothly move forward’

As per the reports, Aankhen 2’s plotline is very similar to the 2002 film Aankhen and revolves around a defamed banker who selects three blind men to rob a bank.
