Arjun Kapoor-Malaika Arora, Sidharth Malhotra-Kiara Advani, KJo And Others Arrive At Akshay Kumar’s Residence To Offer Condolences

Actor Akshay Kumar lost his mother Aruna Bhatia on September 8. She was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai on 3 September. As soon as Akshay Kumar heard about his mother being hospitalized he rushed back from London to be with his ailing mother. Akshay Kumar along with his wife Twinkle Khanna and daughter Nitara attended the funeral of Aruna Bhatia.  Actor Riteish Deshmukh, filmmaker Rohit Shetty, Bhushan Kumar, producer Ramesh Taurani, actor Karan Kapadia and filmmaker Sajid Khan were among the actors who marked their presence at the funeral. Earlier today, actor Shilpa Shetty also visited Akshay Kumar’s house to pay condolence to the latter’s mother.

On Thursday afternoon, Karan Johar, Sidharth Malhotra, Kiara Advani, Malaika Arora, and Abbas-Mastan were spotted outside Akshay Kumar’s residence. Other actors including John Abraham, Sanjay Dutt and Bobby Deol were also snapped outside Akshay Kumar’s house. They all made their ways to meet him and his family after the sad demise of Akshay’s mother. The last rites of his mother were held at a crematorium in Mumbai.

Today, September 9, marks Akshay Kumar’s birthday. On his birthday the actor posted a picture with his mother as he remembers her today. In the picture, Akshay Kumar’s mother can be seen planting a sweet kiss on her son’s cheek. Alongside the picture he wrote, “Would have never liked it this way but am sure mom is singing Happy Birthday to me from right up there! Thanks to each one of you for your condolences and wishes alike. Life goes on.”

On September 8, Akshay Kumar took to his Twitter handle and informed his fans about the sad demise of his mother, Aruna Bhatia. While sharing the sad news he wrote, “She was my core. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My maa Smt Aruna Bhatia peacefully left this world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world. I respect your prayers as I and my family go through this period. Om Shanti”, followed by folded hands emoji.
