‘Ishtam’ gives a treat to Telugu music fans on Ganesha Chathurthi

Plenty of good wishes and appreciation poured in after Ravi shared the music video on Twitter on Ganesha Chathurthi morning.

Ravi Teja, fondly known as Mass Maharaja has been working on an upcoming action thriller, ‘Khiladi’ directed by Ramesh Varma. The makers of this movie released its first single ‘Ishtam’ today as the nation celebrated Ganesha Chathurthi.

Adding to the festival, ‘Ishtam’ was a treat to several of Ravi’s fans as the song seems to have struck the right chord in their hearts. Plenty of good wishes and appreciation poured in after Ravi shared the music video on Twitter on Ganesha Chathurthi morning.

The direct translation of ‘ishtam’ being ‘like’ or, the melodious new number has not just been liked but loved by several Tollywood fans. The number begins with a groovy bass line that is sure to make the listener’s head bob, quickly followed by folk instruments that bring out a sense of nostalgia.

The music video is well made and could evoke the feeling of appreciation for the smaller things in life. The lyrics suggest several qualities of that one special loved one, that human beings most commonly miss out on while hustling out their daily routine. This song, is about the adoration that Dimple Hayathi has for Ravi Teja that is portrayed.

The song was composed by music director, Devi Sri Prasad; sung by Hari Priya, choreographed by Yash Master, and Lyrics written by Shree Mani.

The Director of Khiladi, Ramesh Varma mentioned that the movie will shift focus from the importance of money to the characteristics of Ravi Teja’s role that highlights human nature in its most caring and loving manner.
