Many A-list Bollywood stars have been contributing their bit for the sake of the environment. While some of them are associated with various campaigns, others are spreading awareness through social media. And now, veteran star Anupam Kher has joined the list as an ‘eco-warrior’. Saying so, the actor was recently spotted in the town, actively engaged in a tree plantation initiative. Kher shared the video of this campaign on his social media whilst penning a thankful note for the authorities.
Earlier this month, due to heavy rains in Mumbai, many trees were uprooted. And thus, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) organized a tree plantation campaign. Anupam Kher actively participated in this initiative, “adopting” a tree. Sharing a video of himself planting a tree, Kher penned down a thankful note for the respective authorities of the town. He appreciated the efforts made by BMC and also urged his fans to plant trees.
“Thank you @my_bmc #VishwasMote #MyBmcWardKW, residents of JVPD and members of the media for helping me adopt this tree. It is a great initiative to replace the fallen trees with planting new ones. My request to everyone to do the same all over the country,” Kher captioned the post. Netizens seemed impressed as they went on to appreciate the initiative taken by the actor.
Last month, Anupam Kher marked his 30th year in the Indian Cinema. Achieving this milestone, the actor shared a heartwarming video on his social media handles. He thanked his fans while expressing his gratitude for the team of his debut film, Saaransh.
On the work front, Anupam’s last film outing was the biographical drama ‘The Accidental Prime Minister’. His upcoming projects include The Last Show’, ‘Mungilal Rocks’, and ‘The Kashmir Files’.
