Bebaakee Season 1 Part 2 Review: Kushal Tandon, Karan Jotwani and Shiv Jyoti Rajput’s Show Is A Romantic Thriller That You Don’t Want To Miss

Many of the romantic dramas lack the depth it needs to convey a story to the audience. And in the era of cliche and sloppy romance movies, ZEE5’s Bebaakee stands out as an exception with an engaging and interesting storyline. Redefining romance and its conflicts, the show explores the modern age romance. What’s The Plot? 

Sufiyaan and Kainaat’s relationship which was quite adorable and ‘made for each other type’ changes completely in the second part of the show as an unaware Imtiaz starts developing feelings for her. Sufi’s insecurities and lack of trust work as a catalyst in strengthening Imtiaz and Kainaat’s bond. As the storyline proceeds, Imtiaz and Kainaat get closer which ultimately leads Sufiyaan on a path of self-destruction. The romantic drama intensifies as we see Sufi’s character evolve from a hero to an anti-hero.

Romance and Standpoint

Bebaakee, unlike other romantic dramas, makes some relevant commentaries on modern age romance. Here, as Sufi’s character gets outlined as an anti-hero, Imtiaz and Kainaat’s romance initiates with tender yet real moments. Their romance intensifies with every episode while Sufi goes on a self-destruction mode. We also see Kainaat’s character develop through her past traumas and coming to terms with her blooming romance with Imtiaz.

How Have Characters Evolved?

Bebaakee’s second part stands out for giving a completely different arc to all its characters. From Imtiaz’s romantic side to Sufiyaan developing shades of grey and finally, Kainaat’s conflicts, their characters are well-written and are relatable throughout. They strike a chord with the audiences and you instantly fall in love with them while also sympathising with Sufiyaan.

What’s Hot? (Performances, Music)

Being a romantic drama, Bebaakee explores various other themes such as emotional conflicts, homophobia, etc which many of its contemporaries have lacked. And that’s something which becomes an interesting element for the viewers. Kushal Tandon’s accurate portrayal of Sufi stands out. He has perfectly justified his character by delving into Sufi’s emotional journey. 

Karan Jotwani as Imtiaz is a lightly written character yet he does complete justice when it comes to delivering prominent scenes. Shiv Jyoti as Kainaat is certainly the strongest female character. There are some scenes where she stands out as a performer. 

Throughout this episodic saga, music played a vital role in defining the central theme of the story. There are some romantic and sad tracks that amplify your experience. 

Things to Look Forward To 

Bebaakee’s second part is filled with relatable moments, surprising twists, and subtle elements that make for a riveting watch. But hold on, this was just a beginning and there’s more to come. With another shocker, in the end, the makers have left the viewers with a surge of excitement for the next season. And we bet the new season will take our excitement a notch higher.
