Deepika Padukone Ignores Media’s Request For A Solo Picture? Know Why

Badminton star and Olympic medalist PV Sindhu went on a dinner date with Bollywood’s most prized couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, in Mumbai. As soon as Deepika and Sindhu stepped out of the car to go to enter the restaurant, they were mobbed by the paparazzi. They posed for pictures together. Both Deepika and Sindhu were wearing ivory outfits and looked outstanding. While the Gully boy actor paired a white top with black baggy trousers, the Olympian stole the show in a white bodycon dress.

Sindhu kept it glamorous, and she glammed the dress with minimal jewelry and black footwear. Her hair looked beautiful in curls, and she completed the look with shimmery eye shadow, well-defined eyebrows, sleek eyeliner, blush pink cheeks, and a pink lip shade.

However, when the paparazzi requested Deepika to pose for a solo picture, she turned down their request. Not just that, she politely asked them to take solo pictures of the Olympic medalist who made India proud by winning a medal at the recent Tokyo Olympics.

Deepika told the photographers to take Sindhu’s picture and not hers because the latter made the country proud and glorified. However, upon their insistence, she did oblige to their request before entering the building. Moments later, Deepika’s husband and actor Ranveer Singh entered the same restaurant wearing a white printed shirt paired with distressed blue denim.

The couple had planned the food outing with the country’s elite athlete to celebrate her achievement at the Tokyo Olympics. Sindhu recently made the whole country proud by winning a bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics. In doing so, she became the only Indian female athlete to win two individual Olympic medals.

Five years after winning a silver at the 2016 Rio Games, Sindhu bagged her second consecutive Olympic medal by defeating China’s He Bingjiao in a bronze medal match. Deepika’s incredible gesture for India’s badminton superstar had earned the star praises and hearts on social media. People praised the actor for giving more importance to the olympian, who brought laurels to the country.
