Dhanush’s new avatar in Bollywood expected to release on OTT

It is not rare for Tamil stars to act in Bollywood movies and gain fame across India. Actor Dhanush, the son-in-law of superstar Rajnikanth, is following in the footsteps of these actors who have made it big in Bollywood as well. In the year 2013, Actor Dhanush made his debut in Bollywood through the movie Ranjana. It was also dubbed and released in Tamil as Ambhikabathi. This movie was directed by Anandh L. Roy, who introduced actor Dhanush in Bollywood.

Roy has associated with Dhanush for the second time in his new project Atrangi Re. In the movie,  the actor will be seen along with Sara Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar. The music for the movie has been composed by music maestro A.R.Rahman. The project has been produced by T-Series, Cape of Good Films, and Colour yellow. The major scenes of this movie were shot in North India and Madurai in Tamilnadu. 

Sources also reveal that this movie will not be released in the theatres but will be released directly on the OTT platform. We can expect this movie to be released by December 24th, on the eve of Christmas. As actor Dhanush has dubbed this movie in Tamil, we can expect this movie to be released in Tamil simultaneously. The motion poster of this movie has been released recently and has gained the attention of the viewers. The trailer of this movie has also been released today and has attracted diverse views. 

The movie was announced officially with a motion picture on January 30, 2020, and the shoot of this film commenced on 1st March 2020 in Lucknow. Akshay Kumar joined the sets on 4th December. Dhanush and Akshay Kumar wrapped up their shoots by the end of December. The film completed its post-shoot editing by 27th March 2021.

The movie was supposed to be released worldwide in theatres on 14th February 2021, on valentine’s day. But its release was pushed indefinitely due to Covid. The release was again announced on 6th August 2021, but without success. We can expect this movie to release on the OTT platform during Christmas Vacations.
