Drunken Dramas: When Alcohol Led To Dramebaazi In Kundali Bhagya, TMIJ And Tujhse Hai Raabta

Through the years Zee TV has given us many TV shows that we came to love and adore. From all kinds of settings, we found love stories to watch and follow every day. Many shows throughout the years have in a rare episode also used alcohol as a way of spicing things up in their narratives. As we know, alcohol makes one behave differently and makes the mind slower than usual. When alcohol is ingested by villains, heroes and heroines knowingly or unknowingly in shows a lot of drama ensues! Recalling the same, here are some shows that witnessed some epic drunken dramas!

When Mahira Crashes #PreeRan’s Honeymoon in Kundali Bhagya

Back when Preeta and Karan were finally sent on their honeymoon by Rakhi to spend some time together, Mahira (Swati Kapoor) couldn’t tolerate it. She took Sherlyn along with her and went to their honeymoon destination – Manali! She created a diversion so that Preeta (Shraddha Arya) was not in the room and drugged Karan (Dheeraj Dhoopar) into a drunken state. She later wore Preeta’s clothes and tried to get intimate with Karan. Karan, who thought that Mahira was Preeta got closer to her but was so drowsy that he fell asleep.

Mahira’s initial plan was to taken intimate pictures with him and separate him and Preeta. Of course, Preeta called the police right in time and Mahira was arrested for being mistaken as an escort!

When Sherlyn Fools Rishabh (Kundali Bhagya)

There was another instance when Sherlyn (Ruhi Chaturvedi) and Rishabh (Manit Joura) were yet to be married. During a function, Sherlyn spikes Rishabh’s drink. And while he’s intoxicated, he admits to having feelings for Preeta. Sherlyn then uses this situation to make everyone believe that they had slept together. Since she’s already pregnant with Prithvi’s child, she wants to get married to Rishabh so she could claim that the child is actually his.

When Prithvi Gets Monisha to Spike Karan’s Drink (Kundali Bhagya)

Prithvi hates Karan’s guts and so does Sherlyn. Prithvi does not want Preeta and Karan to get close and Sherlyn wants to drag the Luthra name. So they employ Monisha to spike Karan’s drink and entrap him in a sexual assault scandal. They don’t want Karan’s interference in Sherlyn and Rishabh’s wedding so they decide to put him away for good. Their plan works out and Karan gets drunk and does meet Monisha. This time, Karan actually goes to prison and gets framed in a legal case against him but thanks to Preeta who comes as his saviour.

When Kalyani Creates a Scene in Tujhse Hai Raabta

Sampada loses her life and Kalyani  (Reem Shaikh) is devastated. She wants to know the truth and she begins to behave strangely. Malhar (Sehban Azim) gets suspicious about her behaviour and adds a tracker to her saree. He knows Kalyani is acting like she is not herself. She is also suspiciously going to meet someone. At a social event for the police, she brings a bottle of alcohol and drinks right in front of everyone. Malhar is shocked and asks her to spit it, but she says that he is no one to ask her to do anything! She creates a scene that and Malhar feels ashamed.

When Malhar was Too Emotional in Tujhse Hai Raabta

Earlier in the show, Malhar also got drunk when he found out that Kalyani was falsely framed for murders. He was sad and guilty and in his drunk state, he apologises to her. Kalyani who is surprised by this readily forgives him and the duo share a romantic moment too!

When Tanu Spikes Abhi’s Drink in Kumkum Bhagya

Many years ago, Tanu (Leena Jumani) decides to spike Abhi’s (Shabir Ahluwalia) drink in order to get him to marry her! She and Aliya (Then Shikha Singh) come up with this plan together and a drunk Abhi is seen dancing with Tanu. Pragya (Sriti Jain) notices this and only later understands that he is drunk. She takes him home by hailing a cab and is seen by Dadi when she takes Abhi inside the house. The next day Abhi wakes up to a clouded memory and a newspaper with allegations that Abhi misbehaved with Tanu!

When Guddan Has a Drink in Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payegaa

Antara gets AJ alcohol and AJ in a fit of rage has it. He storms out of the house in his drunken state and Guddan is informed about this. Guddan (Kanika Mann) finds AJ (Nishant Singh Malkani) and in order to stop him, has a drink too. It angers AJ, even more, when Guddan drinks. Later, they both find themselves having a cute banter as they get candid. Hours later, they both end up in a hotel room! This is all Antara’s ploy to malign Guddan by catching her in the hotel room with AJ!

When Jogi Ruin’s Mahi’s Engagement Party in Teri Meri Ikk Jindri

Pappu sees that Mahi is about to get married to the Cheif Minister’s son Arjun and is angry. He already does not like Mahi and he is too arrogant about his money. He does not want her to be richer than him. He knows that Jogi is unhappy with Mahi’s wedding so on her engagement, he purposely gets Jogi drunk. Pappu wants Jogi to create a scene and cancel Mahi’s engagement. This actually happens and Jogi has an outburst at the function. He then faints and Pappu tries to berate him in such a state but Mahi comes to his rescue.
