The filming of Gadar 2 has officially begun. An image from the set with Sunny Deol seen in his character Tara Singh, as well as Ameesha Patel in her Sakina appearance, has lately gone viral. The group was posing with a few military personnel and a backdrop of a village.
The original blockbuster’s director, Anil Sharma, turned to Instagram to announce the exciting news. Sunny Deol, who was on vacation with his father Dharmendra, returned to take his place as Tara Singh in the sequel. We found out in July that Sharma was working on a follow-up to the 2001 hit that had set the box office on fire. According to a source, the director plans to stage the film in Pakistan, where Deol’s character travels to reunite with his son, Charanjeet Singh.
This is a wonderful move for those who have been clamoring for a sequel. Sharma shared a brief selfie video on Instagram in which he hums a Gadar song. The backdrop indicates that the video was taken in Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.
The Apne director also revealed that the team is currently flying out for the Gadar 2 filming, and he finished the video by asking for fans’ and followers’ wishes. The motion poster for Gadar 2: The Katha Continues was released last month. It included information on the main actors and staff.
In addition to Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma will reprise their roles as Sakeena, his wife, and Charanjeet “Jeete” Singh, respectively. The music will be composed by Mithoon, while the story will be written by Shaktimaan. The much-anticipated project is being backed by Zee Studios and Sharma. Returning to his personal life, Deol recently spent some time in Manali with Sholay actor Dharmendra.
