There is no doubt that Amitabh Bachchan is the most outstanding Bollywood actor and one of the finest actors in Indian cinema. When it comes to comparing him with other actors, it’s challenging because there is no one else like him!
He was one of the hit actors of his time and has given us great hits like Silsila, proving his versatility. He moved away from the character of the angry young man and showed s the romantic side to him. He proved his acting skills in Muqqadar Ka Sikandar, where he played a tragic hero.
While the list of his old hit films is long and we can go on about it. Let’s look at some of his recent films where Amitabh Bachchan proved that age is just a number and that he’s like old wine where he’s only getting better as he grows older!
Paa
Directed by R. Balki, Piku is one film of Amitabh Bachchan’s that no one should miss! The best part is it’s tough to believe that the character in the film is Amitabh Bachchan. His character in Piku is one of his best performances where he has completely blended with the character. Amitabh plays a child suffering from progeria, while his son Abhishek plays his father!
Piku
In Piku, Amitabh Bachchan plays a supporting role, but he steals the show! He plays a grumpy, old, lovable man and steals the audiences’ hearts. While he played a child in Paa, he plays an aged, older man in Piku but is as convincing in his character. R. Balki brilliantly directed the film.
Pink
Amitabh Bachchan plays a truth-seeking lawyer in this Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury film with great conviction. He plays a lawyer who is out to fight against injustices and social prejudices. Amitabh Bachchan is just perfect, from his dialogue delivery to the way he carries the lawyer’s costumes! One forgets he is an actor and ends up believing he’s that lawyer fighting in the courtroom. How can anyone forget his famous dialogue ” No means no,” that he powerfully mouths in the film.
