Put some sunflower oil on a pan. Now, add cardamom, clove and some dried red chillies and mix them all together. After you have completed this process, add dal to the pan and mix it for some time. Add a bit of dhaniya now and one bowl of dried red chilies to give the curry some taste along with some grated coconut. Now, add all this in a blender to make a powder of the same.
The next step is to take a pan and add dal to it along with some cashews. Fry them in oil. Add some onion, curry leaves, and bay leaves. Now, take vegetables of your choice and semi-cook them. Once this is done, add rice to the mix again. To add some moisture to the dish, you can add gravy to the masala, having a semi consistency. Add some more jaggery powder for taste if you wish to. Your dish is ready! Serve with raita, papad or chips.
