Indian Pro Music League April 10-11 Episode Roundup: Punjab Lions Win The First Super League Match

Indian Pro Music League has reached its second last innings i.e the fourth innings. The show kickstarted with Karan Wahi and Waluscha De Sousa announcing that Mumbai Warriors and Punjab Lions are in the top positions with nine and eight points on the scoreboard. The Super Match of the fourth innings was a Wajid Khan special episode and the singers celebrated the glorious journey of singer and composer.

The first round of the Super match began with UP Dabbang’s captain Ankit Tiwari giving a powerpack performance on the song  Palat. Other teams gave him a total score of 22. Bengal Tigers came up second to perform. Captain  Shaan and Akriti Kakkar gave a super sixer performance on the song Tum Jaan Jaan Keh Ke Meri Jaan Le Gaye and Do You Wanna Partner. 

Captain Javed Ali along with Bhoomi Trivedi and Hemant Brijwasi from team Gujarat Rockers performed next on the IPML stage. They gave an electrifying performance on the song Daawat-E-Ishq. They received a total score of 28 out of 30. Captain Sajid gave a memorable performance for his brother on the song Tere Bina. It was an emotional moment for everybody and Sajid Khan was honoured with a super sixer for his memorable performance.

Mika Singh came up for his first performance of the fourth innings for Punjab Lions. He was accompanied by Rupali Jagga and Asees Kaur. They sang the songs Munna Badnaam Hua and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi. Last in the first round of the Super Match was Mumbai Warriors. Captain Kailash Kher along with Md. Irfan and Purva Mantri gave an electrifying performance on the songs Deewana Tera and Mashallah. They received a total score of 26 out of 30.

The second round was the super spotlight round. All the debutantes were ready to perform however Mismi Bose was not present therefore Akriti Kakkar took her place. In this round, Laaj, Priyanshi, Rachit and Shehnaaz performed their best songs. Bengal Tigers received a score of 26 while other teams received a total of 28 out of 30.

First Superleague match – Mumbai Warriors Vs Punjab Lions

One of the epic super league matches of the IPML was between Mumbai Warriors and Punjab Lions as they are the two top teams of the IPML. Host Karan Wahi welcomed AR Rahman and Ehan Bhat along with the judging panel for the match. Captains Sajid Khan, Payal Dev, Shaan, and Javed Ali were welcomed for the match. The first round was based on folk songs. Purva Mantri and Rachit Aggarwal from Mumbai Warriors gave a beautiful performance as they sang a Rajasthani folk song. They received a score of 20 out of 24. From Punjab Lions, Asees Kaur and Shehnaaz sang Punjabi folk songs and received a super sixer.

The next round was based on the Bhakti vs Deshbhakti songs. Divya Kumar and Shehnaaz from Punjab Lions gave an amazing performance and received a total score of 18 out of 24. For Mumbai Warriors, it was captain Kailash Kher, Md. Irfan and Rachit Aggarwal, who gave an electrifying performance as they sang the Shiv Tandav Strotam. The judging panel gave them a super sixer for their performance.

The third round of the IPML league match was based on romantic songs. Rupali Jagga from Punjab Lions sang the song Maahiya Ve and received a super sixer for her performance. Md.Irfan from Mumbai Warriors also received a super sixer for his performance on the song Behne De. 

Captain Kailash Kher gave an amazing performance with AsR Rahman as they sang the theme song of Swades. For the fourth round, teams were to perform two songs based on AR Rahman vs Party Songs. Mika Singh from Punjab Lions sang the song Heer To Badi Sad Hai and received a super sixer. On the other hand, Shilpa Rao from Mumbai Warriors sang the song Ishq Shawa and judges gave her 20 out of 24.

For the ultimate IPML faceoff, captains Asees Kaur (Punjab Lions) and Shilpa Rao (Mumbai Warriors) sang the song Aaj Jaane Ki Zidd Na Karo. They received a total score of 18. Punjab Lions won the match with a total score of 108 while Mumbai Warriors scored 106 points.
