Jamuna Dhaki: 5 traits that make Rajanya and Arya the perfect partners-in-crime

Zee Bangla’s popular serial Jamuna Dhaki stars Sweta Bhattacharya as Jamuna and Rubel Das as Sangeet in the lead roles. Jamuna is a resilient woman who goes against all gender conventions and chooses the occupation of a dhaki. While Sangeet’s love for Jamuna known no limit and his parents are extremely fond of her as well, Jamuna has found enemies in Sangeet’s cousin sister Rajanya and her ally Arya, who wants to become Sangeet’s wife at any cost. These two, together, have already created chaos in the couple’s life. Going by their respective personalities, we know now why they indeed are the right partners in crime.

Crooked minds

Since the beginning of the show, we have never seen Rajanya and Arya coming up with any good intentions for the family. They have always tried to ruin the happiness and peace of the Ray household. Together they went to the extent of trying to kill Jamuna and replace her with Arya in Sangeet‘s life. So, it is safe to say that these two can give strong competition to some of the evil-minded villains of all times.

Display of uncivil behaviour

Rajanya and Arya have always displayed very rude and disrespectful behaviour towards everyone in the family. Arya’s only concern has been Sangeet, so she does not pay heed to anyone else in the family. Rajanya, on the other hand, has learned her uncivil mannerisms from her evil mother. Both the ladies clearly have a lot to learn from the loving and caring Jamuna.

Their mutual hatred towards Jamuna

Arya, at one point of time, liked Sangeet and wanted to marry him, but as time went by, her liking turned into insanity. She has made numerous attempts along with Rajanya to break apart Jamuna and Sangeet. In a recent episode, they have joined hands with the aunt in order to separate Jamuna and Sangeet again. We are yet to see if they will succeed in their attempt this time.

Disrespecting the less privileged ones

Rajanya never wanted her cousin to get married to Jamuna as she belonged to a lesser affluent family as compared to the Rays. Time and again, Arya and Rajanya have questioned the occupation and background of Jamuna, which did not have any affect on the love of Sangeet. She insulted Jamuna many times due to her family’s financial status but Jamuna has always reverted with a fitting reply. It is the same with Arya who is not just a very judgmental human being but also comes across as an insensitive person who doesn’t think twice before humiliating someone.

Lack of ethics

It goes without saying that neither Rajanya nor Arya bothers about being ethical in their personal lives. While Arya sees it fit to break Sangeet’s marriage apart for her own gains, Rajanya doesn’t hesitate to conspire against her own sister-in-law just because she thinks Jamuna, coming from a different socio-economic class, doesn’t deserve to be in the family. No wonder these two get along so well!
