Actress Kangana Ranaut has been a prominent face in the numerous campaigns for justice for actor Sushant Singh Rajput. She has now openly called out the Mumbai police commissioner and asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for protection against the city’s law enforcers.
Ranaut shared a screenshot of Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh liking a derogatory comment against her, made by an online user. Her name was included in a campaign called the ‘walk of shame’ where the user suggested that her photograph should be used instead of only writing her name. The Panga actress alleged that this comment was liked by the police chief. She tweeted to PM Modi saying that the state police commissioner is openly intimidating her and encouraging bullying and crime. She also questioned her safety in the city.
Singh’s office has meanwhile denied liking any such comment.
Kangana has been extremely vocal about the Bollywood industry’s hypocrisy and even offered to help the authorities in exposing the drug cartels in the film world. She spoke out against prime suspect Rhea Chakraborty and several other insiders, who according to her, were responsible for Sushant’s death.
