In the movie, he plays the role of a marriage detective who reveals the negative side of the groom to the bride’s family. In the movie, Manoj Bajpayee’s character Madhu Mangal Rane goes to extreme lengths to find faults in a prospective groom. Now he is someone who can be very useful to families in India who are opting for arrange marriages, right? Just like Sherlock, nothing gets past Madhu and it is almost impossible to trick him.

Despite being a detective, he is not completely void of emotions either. When he realizes he has wronged Suraj and Tulsi, he does everything in his power to unite them.
