Mona Singh To Mark Her Television Comeback With The Crime Show ‘Mauka-E-Vardaat’

Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin fame Mona Singh is now gearing up to make her comeback in the TV world almost after a hiatus of 5 years. In the past couple of years, Mona has focused on her movie and web show career. Now, Mona will be reportedly seen hosting a crime thriller TV soap. The name of the show is called, Mauka-e-Vardaat alongside Ravi Kishan.

Mauka-e-Vardaat is an episodic series wherein each episode will unveil a new mystery. As per a reputed daily, each episode features a female protagonist. This is not the first time when Mona will be seen hosting a show. Previously, she hosted the comedy show titled, Comedy Nights Bachao. The news of her TV return was confirmed by the actor herself.

She said, “Yes, it is true, I will be a part of Mauka-E-Vardaat. Crime genre has always intrigued me and it is an exciting project and we are still in the process of working out the complete details”. Initially, even actor Rashami Desai was in talks for the show. However, eventually, the production house finalized Mona Singh to play the lead role. Nothing about the show’s cast and crew details have been finalised so far.

Meanwhile, Mona Singh is also gearing up for the release of her upcoming film Laal Singh Chaddha alongside Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor. Helmed by Advait Chandan, the upcoming comedy-drama is penned by Atul Kulkarni. It is an adaptation of the 1994 American film, Forrest Gump. The premise of the film details prominent Indian events unfolding through the perspective of Laal Singh Chaddha, an autistic man who has an impeccable understanding of emotions.

Laal Singh Chaddha was initially slated to release on 25th December 2020, coinciding with Christmas. However, due to a production halt owing to the COVID-19 pandemic in India, the release was postponed to 24th December 2021, which also falls on the Christmas weekend.
