Owing to pregnancy rumours, Kajal Aggarwal to be replaced by Ileana D’Cruz in The Ghost?

Ileana D’Cruz is surrounded by rumor as she has been shortlisted (yet not selected) for the female lead role in the upcoming movie – The Ghost directed by Praveen. If reports are to be believed, Ileana D’Cruz would be replacing (if selected) Kajal Aggarwal, as the south actress has excused herself from the project citing ‘personal reasons’.

Ilana D’Cruz, who was a star during the 2000s and worked with various superstars like Mahesh Babu and Pawan Kalyan is now in the race for the lead female role in ‘The Ghost’. After Kajal Aggarwal withdrew herself from the project due to personal reasons, which is rumored to be due to her expecting a baby and she needs to care for herself – however, no such confirmation on the same has come from Kajal Aggarwal. So, director Praveen is reconsidering Ileana as a replacement for Kajal Aggarwal. Though Ileana didn’t react anything to these rumors.

If Ileana D’Cruz is selected for this role, then she would have to perform some stunts. This will be her biggest project in the Telugu film industry in the last many years if she is placed for this project. As she disconnected herself from the Telugu films since 2010, but being in the race of this project would be a great opportunity for the actress.

‘The Ghost’ has many other stars like Nagarjun, Gul Panag, and  Anika Surendran. The movie is presently being shot in London.

The recent film of Ileana D’Cruz – ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’, the Ravi Teja-Sreenu Vaitla movie, failed to create impression on the audience. Ileana was also featured in the OTT web series – The Big Bull where she was opposite of Abhishek Bachchan. Before this, she was featured in the Bollywood film – Pagalpanti in 2019. Currently, she is working with Randeep Hooda in – ‘Unfair and Lovely’ which is expected to be released in November 2021. Kajal Aggarwal has starred in Magadheera which was a blockbuster. Her upcoming films include Acharya, Uma, and Indian 2.
