Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on the Time’s 100 most influential people list

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were honored this week with recognition as some of the most influential people in the world. The couple made it to this year’s Time 100 most influential people list and were featured together on the cover of the publication. 

The photograph was taken by Pair Dukovic. This also marks the first time the couple has posed together for a magazine cover shoot. Harry and Meghan are being listed in the “Icons” category this year. In addition, chef, humanitarian, and founder of the World Central Kitchen José Andrés wrote about their impact for the publication.

Jose Andres pens down his thoughts on the Sussex

In the article, Jose Andres writes about the famous TV interview of Harry, the Duke of Sussex from a few years ago when he was an Apache helicopter gunner. He was sitting close to an airfield in Afghanistan and was commenting on some royal news when there’s a loud bang and a group of soldiers scrambled behind him. He stood up in one swift motion and ripped off his microphone to run toward the action.

Similarly, Meghan Markle, now the Duchess of Sussex has long been an active humanitarian and a powerful advocate for women around the world. 

Netizens troll the “airbrushed” picture

The magazine released the cover picture of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on Wednesday. They appear with weirdly glowing smooth skin, creepy bright eyes that look too airbrushed for the liking of Netizens. Many took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the alleged retouching. One person tweet says the airbrush is doing some heavy lifting there. Another tweet says, the cover looks so fake… oh wait it’s because they are,” 

Whereas some kind folks wrote “Amazing cover! Love all the good work they are doing despite the vicious attacks coming at them, wrote a fan. The fans also praise their good work with #HarryAndMeghan! Your humanitarian work speaks for itself.

Markle and Harry resigned from their royal duties in early 2020 They topped the “Icons” section of the list, which also includes pop star Britney Spears, country superstar Dolly Parton, tennis pro Naomi Osaka, and Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny.
