Rahul Vaidya’s Throwback Video From Indian Idol 1 Goes Viral

Rahul Vaidya is one of the most popular singers of India, who came into the spotlight after being a contestant in the first season of the popular singing reality show, Indian Idol. In 2020, he got another shot to fame, after he was a contestant in the reality show, Bigg Boss 14. In Bigg Boss 14, Rahul Vaidya received a lot of love from his fans and audience, and also made it to the finals, although he could not win it. The first season of Indian Idol aired on Sony TV in 2004. The show back then was hosted by Aman Verma and Mini Mathur, and the judges in the show were Sonu Nigam, Anu Malik, and Farah Khan. When Rahul Vaidya was a contestant in the show, he got known for having a singing style like Sonu Nigam, and also he made it to the top 3 contestants.

A recent video of the show that has surfaced of Rahul singing the song Pretty Woman from the film Kal Ho Na Ho in one of the rounds. After his singing, he received a lot of criticism from the judges, mainly Anu Malik and Sonu Nigam. While Sonu Nigam said that his singing has been growing worse with each performance, Anu Malik added to it by saying that a lot of arrogance is showing in his singing. Of course, this was back when the reality show was not constantly in the news for giving fake compliments to contestants.

After the severe criticism, Rahul Vaidya apologised to the judges and exited the stage. Rahul Vaidya also made news recently, when he gave a befitting reply to YouTuber CarryMinati, when the latter made a roast video about Bigg Boss 14, and also roasted its contestants, one of whom, was Rahul.
