Raj Kundra Case: Shilpa Shetty Kundra Issues First Statement, Requests Media Houses To “Refrain From Commenting On Half-baked Information”

Raj Kundra‘s pornography scandal has shook not just the film industry, but the entire nation. Even his wife, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, who claims to be unaware of his dealings couldn’t come out unscathed. While reports have been doing rounds on how the actress reacted during the police questioning, Shilpa was yet to make an official statement. However, the Hungama 2 actress had finally broken her silence while sharing her two cents about the case.

Sharing a post on her social media accounts, Shilpa Shetty Kundra accepted the fact that the past few days have been quite challenging for her and her family. She further wrote, “There have been a lot of rumours and accusations. A lot of unwarranted aspersions on me cast by the media and (not so) well-wishers as well.” While requesting media houses to stop attributing false quotes on her behalf, the actress said that she hasn’t commented anything yet and added that she will “continue to refrain from doing so on this case as it is subjudice”.

The Hungama 2 actress also reiterated her philosophy that as a celebrity one should “Never complain, never explain” She also added that she has “full faith in the Mumbai Police & the Indian judiciary”. The actress who recently filed a defamation lawsuit against 29 media houses also requested them to respect their privacy for her children’s sake and “refrain from commenting on half-baked information without verifying the veracity of the same”.

Calling herself a “law-abiding Indian citizen and a hardworking professional” Shilpa requested everyone to respect her and her family’s right to privacy, while saying, “We don’t deserve a media trial.”
