Despite Robert Downey Junior stating how the movie didn’t do very well, it received good reviews from the critics at the time. It happens so, that Jon Favreau, who later on directed the Iron Man in 2008, watched the movie Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and liked Robert Downey Jr as an action hero.

The Iron Man fame Robert Downey Jr is unmistakably one of the most popular actors of Hollywood. Believe it or not, the famous and talented actor has had his own tough journey in making it to the peaks of Hollywood. And while you think that his most loved character and the movie would be your favorite Iron Man series, we’re about to break it to you that it is not. 

In a popular podcast, Robert Downey Jr revealed his most favorite movie to date which was not very well received at the time of its release. It is none other than Shane Black’s 2005 release ‘Kiss Kiss Bang Bang’. The actor picked it out as the best movie he has ever done to date.  

Robert Downey Jr was reluctantly cast in the movie by the filmmakers because of his early on drug issues at the beginning of his career. To be honest, this decision changed the entire course of his acting journey. Where on one hand, the movie did not do well on the big screens and bombed the post-release, this came about to be a big game-changer for our very own Iron Man. It happens so, that Jon Favreau, who later on directed the Iron Man in 2008, watched the movie Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and liked Robert Downey Jr as an action hero. He then went on to cast him as Iron Man and carried him to the peaks of Hollywood stardom.

Despite Robert Downey Junior stating how the movie didn’t do very well, it received good reviews from the critics at the time. When a burglar poses as an actor and meets a private investigator in Hollywood, he becomes engaged in a murder case. He quickly enlists a struggling actress in the inquiry making Kiss Kiss Bang Bang a comedy crime thriller. It turned out to be a surprisingly good-natured and moralistic fine picture.
