Saina: Parineeti Chopra Talks About Her Next Release, Also Discusses Her Rumoured Rift With Shraddha Kapoor

Actor Parineeti Chopra has had a prolific career in the Hindi film industry. While some of her performances are fan favourite, the others paved way for big box office numbers. Her most-loved performances include an unforgettable Meeta in Hasee Toh Phasee and a mesmerizing Bindu in Meri Pyari Bindu. Now, Parineeti has made headlines for her upcoming release Saina. In a recent interview, the actor opened up about the film and also talked about her equation with Shraddha Kapoor.

The year 2021 has been no less than a great comeback for Parineeti. While her latest release Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar has released in theatres, the actor is now gearing up for the biopic of Saina Nehwal.  As seen in the interview, Parineeti talked about how she prepared herself to get into the shoes of Saina. The actor said that she was quite unsure about how she’ll manage to get Saina’s badminton moves right.

“She’s a very powerful player. The power in her arm when she smashes the ball or the split of her legs when she lunges is crazy. So I was really scared, I asked her how do I play like you,” Parineeti opened up in the interview. She added, Saina told her to be consistent while practising and said she’ll get it right and that eventually worked for Parineeti. Also, she thanked the coaches and the badminton community around India who guided her thoroughly.

For those unversed, director Amol Gupte had earlier planned the film with Shraddha Kapoor. However, due to her busy schedule, Shraddha later backed off from the project. And then Parineeti got on-board for the film. Talking about the same, Parineeti said that she had a great discussion with Shraddha over the same. She refuted the rumours of the rift between them and said, “We both dealt with it in a positive way and really had a fun chat together.”

Apart from Parineeti, the film Saina will also feature Manav Kaul and Paresh Rawal in featured roles. The film is all set to release on March 26, 2021.
