Sankranthi 2021: Here’s how Samantha Akkineni, Nani, Niharika Konidela and other stars celebrated the festival

Makar Sankranthi aka Sankranthi is an Indian festival dedicated to Surya or Sun, the god.  Every year, the event is observed on the day the sun enters the Capricorn zodiac. Sankranthi usually falls in the month of January as per the Gregorian calendar. Makar Sankranthi marks the end of the winter solstice and begins the trail of longer days. As wishes are pouring in on the occasion, let us take a look at how our favourite south stars celebrated Makar Sankranthi.

Aditi Rao Hydari

On the occasion of  Makar Sankranthi, Fitoor star Aditi Rao Hydari shared an adorable boomerang video, wherein she was spotted flying a kite. The actor took to her Instagram handle and posted the video. Here, she stunned in a blue floral print dress. She also wore similar coloured tights with the top ensemble. Keeping her look simple, Aditi Rao Hydari also sported a pair of ethnic slippers. Sharing the boomerang video on Instagram, Aditi wrote, “Once and floral, I’ve made up my mind 🌸💙 #HappySankranti”. Nani

Jersey superstar Nani wished all his fans through a post on social media. The Jersey actor posted a selfie picture with his son Arjun and wife Anjana. In this Instagram post, Nani stunned in a white sweatshirt, while Arjun was seen holding his father’s hand and flashing his adorable smile. Anjana was seen planting a gentle kiss on the actor’s neck. Niharika Konidela

Actor Niharika Konidela sent her best wishes to her fans on Makar Sankranthi through a special post on social media. The Happy Wedding star took to her Instagram handle and shared pictures of herself, dressed in traditional wear. She stunned in a purple saree and oxidised jewellery.
