Sonu Nigam Schools Tripura’s DM Over His Behaviour At A Wedding Ceremony

Singer Sonu Nigam schooled the District Magistrate of Tripura, Shailesh Kumar Yadav, for misbehaving in a wedding ceremony and for his unruly behaviour. The video of the DM’s misconduct was recorded and the video went viral a few days ago.

Sonu Nigam took to his Instagram handle and released the video wherein he addressed the DM of Tripura in question and said that he should not have spoken rudely to the people present at the wedding as they are citizens of India and even the Prime Minister talks to everyone with respect and honour. Sonu clarifies that he does not know whether the guests present at the wedding had taken permission for the wedding or not, but it still isn’t the right way to handle the situation. He goes on to say that Shailesh Kumar Yadav should not have hit people or misbehaved with women.

Sonu Nigam also says that the DM should have let people give their explanation even though they were wrong. Instead, he instructed his men to arrest everyone who tried to give an explanation for their mistake. Sonu reminds him that he is just the District Magistrate of one district and not the king of the land. He says, “How dare you speak to people like this?”. He also added that everyone should help one another as in these dreadful times only unity can help us all fight the pandemic better. Shailesh Kumar Yadav had gatecrashed a wedding in Tripura and had misbehaved with the groom as well as the guests for exceeding the time limit of functions during the pandemic.
