Sunflower Poster: Sunil Grover As Sonu Promises ‘Drama Aur Dhamaka’; Series To Air From June 11

It’s raining thrillers in the ZEE5 arena and the audience is completely enjoying it.  Also, the coming few months will be a treat for cinephiles as the platform is all set to welcome an array of quality shows and movies. Saying so, ZEE5’s upcoming dark comedy series Sunflower has already created a wave of excitement among the viewers. While fans were eagerly waiting for updates, the makers have intensified the suspense by sharing a new cryptic poster and by also revealing its release date. 

In the poster, we get the first glimpse of Sunil Grover’s character Sonu. While Sonu vaguely points out a finger to his eye, the motifs in the background hint at the crime scene. Sharing this first poster on Instagram, the makers also announced the release date of Sunflower. Hinting at “Drama Aur Dhamaka”, ZEE5 captioned the post, “Drama aur Dhamaka Ab shuru hoga Sonu ki life mai asli hungama! Unveil the mysteries of #Sunflower, premiering 11th June on @zee5premium. #TheUnCooperativeSociety.”

This first look of Sunil Grover from Sunflower is sure to get everyone excited for this mystery saga. Earlier, the logo reveal of the show had piqued the audience’s interest in the show. The short and thematic first look video resembled the title of this crime-comedy series. As per the makers, there’s ample entertainment as well as an exquisite dose of suspense in this upcoming show.

In an interview with ZEE5, actor Girish Kulkarni who plays Inspector Chetan Tambe in the show had pointed out three reasons why Sunflower would be loved by all. “An entertaining tale told in an entertaining manner, interesting characters, the innocence of story,” Girsh had listed down.

While the first character poster has raised our expectations, it remains to be seen what’s stored in for us next. For those unversed, Sunflower follows the story of a murder mystery at a housing society. Laden with an intriguing storyline, the show has some interesting characters at the forefront. Directed by Vikas Bahl, Sunflower features Ranvir Shorey, Sunil Grover, Girish Kulkarni, Ashish Vidyarthi, and a few others in pivotal roles.

Sunflower web series will be streaming on ZEE5 exclusively from June 11.
