Ken Haemer once stated, “Designing a presentation without an audience in mind is like writing a love letter and addressing it- to whom it may concern”. A presentation not only gives precise information about your content but, it also enhances the overall output. Similarly, it is important in the film too. Apart from the story and lead actors, its the visual representation of the film which appeals to the audience. This is what makes Prabhas’ Baahubali stand out from the rest of films released that year – visual effects. While the team of Baahubali shot more than half of the film in a closed room, all we witnessed were some unbelievable scenic sites.
It won’t be wrong to say that Baahubali redefined the concept of VFX and CGI in the film industry. But way before the makers of Baahubali nailed this form of art, a bunch of Bollywood films had tried their hands on it. Before Baahubali, the film which was a sheer joy to the eyes of the audience for its visual effects was Shah Rukh Khan‘s Ra One, which released in 2011. Interestingly, for the unversed, in the post-production stage, the makers use computer-generated imagery (CGI) to create the impossible imagery you see in the cinema
Apart from the Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer, there are numerous films which had a few VFX scenes. This list includes films such as PK, Kick, Ready, Chennai Express and Chandni Chowk To China, amongst others. The latest entry into this list is Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor‘s Baaghi 3.
The above video, gives a detailed peek in all the scene of these-mentioned films, where the makers used CGI and special visual effects to create a lasting impression. The video is divided into two screens, where at the one side we see how the actors manage to shoot a portion with a green background, while in the second portion we see how technology makes it possible!
