The actor has mentioned that they would get quite dirty with the festival and would use proper wet mud to soak each other. She also revealed that her mother was quite fed up as they would show up in horrible conditions, getting the house dirty as well.

Huma Qureshi revealed that her mother would often keep a bucket of water right outside the house so that they could wash their hands and legs before entering the house. She stated that such a step was necessary as their condition was rarely something that could be tolerated in a household. She further added that she had to take multiple baths to ensure that she was free of all the mud and colours.
