You know what they say? The way to someone’s heart is through their stomach. Well, we think the two—heart as well as stomach—are important aspects for one’s well-being. Speaking of which, Valentine’s Day is approaching and if you’re not up for anything fancy, then that’s perfectly fine! For starters, here are three dishes that are not at all time consuming but get all your taste buds active during your hunger pangs.
French Fries
First, pick out the potatoes with less starch so that they can provide a crispy feel to the dish. Peel the potatoes and soak them in water after which you will have to cut the potato in the form of fries. Boil the potatoes in hot water until they become a little soft. Put them in the freezer so that when it is fried in oil, they are well cooked and the have the right amount of crispy texture. Take them out once they are frozen and put them in hot oil. Fry until cooked. Lastly, drain out the excess oil and eat them hot with some sauce, if you’d like! Don’t forget to add some salt in the end, too.
Kasoori Paneer Tikka
Firstly, slice paneer in moderate sizes. Make a marinade using curd, pudina green chutney, green chilli paste, ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder and garam masala along with chaat masala and kasoori methi with roasted channa dal all together. Heat the grill on which the paneer will be cooked. Mix the paneer in the marinade and add some mustard oil to it too. Leave it for 20 minutes.Add it to the grill and let it cook. Cut some capsicum for flavour on the grill. Leave it on the grill until cooked. Add some chaat masala and some lemon for taste at the end. Your dish is ready!
Barbeque Chicken
For all you non-vegetarians, here’s the ultimate recipe to save your partner from their chicken cravings! Chicken breast and chicken leg can be used for this dish. Once marinated, mix them with the masala that you will have to prepare first. For the masala, use garlic paste, garam masala, salt, green chilli, lemon juice, chilli sauce and a bit of ketchup along with some soya sauce. Mix them all together. Add the chicken with this masala and leave it to soak in for some time. Take the chicken and put it on a tava and let it cook. Your dish will be ready in no time!
