Vishal Malhotra Becomes The First Indian Actor To Release An NFT In Collaboration With An Artist

Indian actor and host, Vishal Malhotra has been working in the industry for a long time. He was first seen hosting Zee TV’s 1995 show called Disney Hour. He also appeared in the cult classic Hip Hip Hurray. After working in TV shows for a while, Vishal made his Bollywood debut with Shahid Kapoor’s debut film Ishq Vishk. Then he went on to work in many popular films such as Kaal, Salaam-E-Ishq, Kismat Konnection, Happy New Year and more. Recently, the actor made headlines as he becomes the first Indian actor to release an NFT(Non-Fungible Token) Read on to know more about it.

Bollywood actor Vishal Malhotra has been hinting at “making history” for quite a few days on his Twitter handle. In fact, he even had a clubhouse session regarding the same. And now, Vishal has actually achieved the feat by becoming the first-ever Indian actor to release an NFT. He did so in collaboration with a leading artist Ishita Banerjee aka Soul Curry Art, who created a digital artwork of the actor.

The digital artwork features 25 years of Vishal’s journey in the entertainment industry. Moreover, it also has the actor’s voice-over in the background. The artwork was sold in an auction for a whopping 2.5 ETH or Rs 4.13 Lakh. Celebrating this, the actor shared the following post on his Instagram:

While Vishal Malhotra was super excited to have made history with this achievement, he doesn’t plan to stop anytime soon. Commenting on his NFT journey, Vishal said that the buyer of the artwork will also get a Live chat with the actor and a possible meet and greet depending on the Covid situation. The actor also said that he’ll be dropping his next NFT in the coming week.
