Baazi: A Vengeful Legacy

Baazi is a 2021 Bengali film telling us about the story of a father and son. Every person has dreams and ambitions they want to fulfil in life, and if they cannot do so, they want their children to do it for them. But the same can be said about revenge. What happens if a father cannot seek revenge? Will they pass the baton to his child? 

This movie tells the story of a father who does precisely that, thus focusing on his son’s journey to fulfil his revenge. This action movie is a complete entertainer with its mind-blowing mind games and plot twists.

Anshuman Pratyush is the director of Baazi, and this remarkable film is produced by Jeet (the male lead actor for the film), Gopal Madnani, and Amit Jumrani. Baazi is an official remake of Nannaku Prematho.

The fantastic cast behind this film consists of Jeet as Aditya Mukherjee, Mimi Chakraborty as Kyra, Abhishek Chatterjee as Rudra Pratap Mukherjee, Biswanath Basu as Kancha and Sabyasachi Chakraborty as Krishna Kumar Bardhan along with other supporting characters.

Baazi Plot

Rudra Pratap Mukherjee (played by Abhishek Chatterjee) is a thriving entrepreneur, and with his ambition and brilliant ideas, he wishes to create a business empire of his own. But during his journey to make this empire, he gets betrayed by his friend Krishna Kumar Bardhan who uses his cunning to rob Rudra of his business. At that moment, he swore to take vengeance on Bardhan.  

A lot of time has passed since then, and he is now facing a fatal illness; that’s why he asks his son Aditya (played by Jeet) to take revenge on Bardhan in his stead. Accepting his father’s request, Aditya goes to London, where Bardhan lives. Bardhan has become an influential person in the industry and is deemed a successful businessman. This makes it hard for Aditya to reach him, but he doesn’t give up and tries to reach him through Bardhan’s daughter. But Bardhan is not that easy of a target; he is as discreet and intelligent as Aditya, if not more. Will Aditya be able to get his father’s revenge, or will he fail after going through so much trouble?
