Daab Chingri Plot

Daab Chingri is a sweet story of selflessness and strong willpower. The story revolves around a few older people from an old age home who start their own catering business to support their needs as their children and family members maltreat them. It considers them so unimportant that they often forget to send money to satisfy their needs.

The story takes an emotional turn when the old age home caretaker and a constant supporter of those old people falls ill and is diagnosed with cancer. They decided to take responsibility and started working extremely hard in their business to collect funds to support his treatment.

This movie also breaks the stereotypic thought about the present generation being selfish and aloof from the old generation through Sohini, who is a regular visitor at the old age home and is like the granddaughter to all the grandmothers and grandfathers there. She was their constant support and well-wisher even when their children had abandoned them.

The movie moves on with Shaheb Bhattacharjee character trying to crash down their catering business ‘Thakumar Hari’ to grab a huge party order which is very much necessary for the old people to collect the funds for the caretaker’s cancer treatment.
