Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu Receives Congratulatory Messages From Priyanka Chopra Jonas And Lara Dutta Among Others

Miss Universe is the title that brings pride and honour back home. In this contest, various talented girls from all over the universe come together to showcase their talents to the world. One among mang countries is facilitated by the prestigious title. The 70th edition of the event took place in Eilat, Israel and our Indian girl named Harnaaz Sandhu brought the crow back home.

On her win, global icon Priyanka Chopra Jonas took to her social media account to laud the winner of the title Miss Universe. Taking to her Instagram story, PeeCee shared the video of the special moment when Harnaaz was announced the Miss Universe winner. While congratulating the winner, Priyanka wrote that the new Miss Universe is Miss India. Further, she added congratulations to Harnaaz Sandu. Priyanka added bringing the crown home after 21 years.

In the video shared by Priyanka Chopra Jonas on her Instagram story, we can see the host Steve Harvey declaring Harnaaz as the winner of the pageant. Our winner can be seen getting emotional after hearing her name. Speaking more of Harnaaz Sandu, she is 21-year-old and is seeking her master’s degree in public administration. She was crowned by her precursor Andrea Meza of Mexico, who won the pageant in 2020.

The competition was tough as about 80 contestants were participating in the competition. Beating the rest 79 girls, Harnaaz brought the crown to the nation. Speaking of the rest, Paraguay’s Nadia Ferreira was crowned as the second runner-up. While the third runner-up was South Africa’s Lalela Mswane.

Not only PeeCee but Kareena Kapoor Khan also showered love on the winner of the title Miss Universe. Even she shared the same video on her Instagram story and wrote a heartfelt message as she was proud that the crown was won by an Indian girl. Sharing the video, Kareena wrote congratulations to the newly crowned #MissUniverse.

Joining the team was Lara Dutta, she took to her Twitter handle to shower love on Harnaaz Sandhu. In her tweet, she wrote Congratulations @HarnaazSandhu03. She also welcomed her to the club. Further, she wrote that they have waited 21 long years for this. In the end, Lara added that Harnaaz has made all SO SO proud and a billion dreams come true!

For an unversed, the title of Miss Universe was won by two other Indian divas. Sushmita Sen bagged the award in 1994, while Lara Dutta was felicitated with the crown in 2000.
