Neha Dhupia Unveils Her Son’s Name After Three Months; Baby’s Reaction Is UNMISSABLE – Don’t Miss

Fans have been hypothesising on the name of Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi’s son for the past three months. And, solely for us, the actor has finally spilled the beans revealing that they call him Guriq Singh Dhupia Bedi. They are delighted and immensely proud to associate both their names with the names of our son and daughter Mehr. There we have it, three months later, we now  know what they call him.

When asked about the meaning of her name, she explains that Guriq means one with God.  One from God and the world’s saviour. It’s a unique name that they adore; even the spelling is exquisite and rare. The mother came up with the name, and father Angad came up with the spelling. Guriq is the couple’s second child, born last October. The actor concedes that they had several options for the name, and the desire to find something pure and beautiful assisted in refining the search.

She came up with the name, but naming a child is always a collaborative effort. They are relieved that they chose Guriq because they like the sound of it. Their son, too, has a lovely reaction to the name. He’s only three months old, but he already recognises sounds, according to the 41-year-old actor. Dhupia recounts the journey of finding the name, saying that she stumbled upon it, and the meaning was beautiful. They’ve always wanted a name that has a splendid meaning and is a little out of the ordinary. The main thing was that both mom and dad had to come around it. Guriq’s father took a little longer to pace her, but she is glad he did. He may be Guriq to his parents, but he is Mehr’s Koala brother to her.

Even before delivery, when they were gearing Mehr for the advent of a baby sister or a baby brother, she abruptly began calling the baby Koala. Even now, she pertains to him as such. That’s the nickname given to him by his adoring sister. They also constantly refer to him as a koala bear. They like it because she remained true to the original name, and they came up with the name much later, as she concludes with a giggle.
