How Agga Bai Sasubai’s Ajoba reminds us of our taunting yet loving grandparents.

Grandparents are said to be the ‘priceless’ treasure for a family and the relationship they share with their grandchildren is often a special one. And since grandparents are such important figures in real life, the ones essayed in TV shows or movies tend to be just as charming and relatable. In a similar instance, Zee Marathi’s Agga Bai Sasubai has now built an interesting arc with Ajoba’s (Grandfather) re-entry in the storyline.

Being full of warmth and humour, Ajoba has already made a special place in our hearts. From his epic catchphrases to his hilarious nicknames including ‘Kombdichya’ for Soham and ‘Chappal Chor’ for Abhijeet, Ajoba’s character has proved that “families wouldn’t be the same without grandparents”. So, here’s taking a look at how Ajoba makes us recall our taunting-yet-loving grandparents.

Grandparents have an ultimate need to enquire about every happening in the family, it’s in their nature, be it out of love or out of the curiosity they carry. And Ajoba’s character is a perfect epitome to highlight this important trait. Returning from his hometown after a long time, Ajoba just shooted Soham and Shubhra with a load of questions, enquiring about Soham’s antics and Asawari’s whereabouts.

Being well aware of his grandson’s behaviour, he also questioned Soham about his mischief in his absence. Ajoba has always managed to keep Soham right on track and make him aware of his wrongdoings. In his presence, Soham is just like every grandson intending to be in the good books.

Grandparents are the most adorable part of a family just like the toddlers and hence we tend to forgive them even if they are a little grumpy at times. In the recent episodes, we saw Ajoba’s unexpected entry and as soon as he entered the house, he realized the changes, especially with the small ‘mandir’ in the house. Ajoba took Soham under the radar for the missing idols inside the altar.

We also saw him taunting Shubhra and Soham over their uninvolved attitude towards the family traditions. However, his unconditional love for the family is also something we can’t overlook and that’s the reason Ajoba’s character adds a sense of realism in the show’s storyline making us relive our pleasant memories with our grandparents.
