Shivangi Joshi, best known for her role in the TV series Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, is amping up for the new journey as the central character ‘Anandi’ in the daily soap Balika Vadhu. Shivangi will play a young ‘Anandi’ in the show. Read on to know more

Shivangi is ecstatic about taking on this new role, and she expressed her excitement by saying that the character has changed since the first season. She will play a 17-year-old college student who is well mannered, optimistic, and full of joy and has a very adorable and cheery personality.

Shivangi describes interacting with the new cast as an entirely new experience, and she is eagerly anticipating the beginning of shooting and meeting everyone on the show.  She hasn’t been introduced to the entire cast yet. For the time being she has only met Randeep Rai, who plays ‘Anand,’ and Samridh Bawa, who plays ‘Jigar,’ in the show. The actress is looking forward to meeting everyone on set and getting started with the new journey. Shivangi goes on to discuss her thoughts on television content and the changes she has noticed while working in the industry.

She also added that  TV has advanced significantly, and the type of content available has shifted over time. The shows are no longer authoritarian, and many shows depict contemporary advanced eras and scenarios. TV had and will continue to have a role in the future.

Shivangi rose to prominence with her character ‘Naira,’ and she attributes much of her success to her character in the show ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. According to the actress, the support for the show and the character has always been overwhelming. ‘Naira’ was a pivotal period in her life, and she owes a great deal to the show’s creators, audience, and well-wishers.
