Dangal Fame Zaira Wasim Drops First Photo After 2 Years Of Quitting Showbiz; Former Actress’ Pic In Burkha Is Going Viral

Zaira Wasim marked her debut in Bollywood alongside Aamir Khan in the movie Dangal had quit Bollywood in 2019. She had said that acting interfered with her religion and even she was unhappy with her occupation. Zaira Wasim also deleted all her photos from social media back then. On Tuesday, she shared a photo of herself, though she opted not to disclose her face for the camera. It was a pleasant surprise for the social media users to have a glance at Zaira’s new photo.

In the photo shared by the former actress, she can be seen standing on a bridge and clad in a burkha. She showed her back to the camera and faced the sun. Zaira captioned her post as “The warm October sun”, along with a sun emoticon. She also carried a black coloured sling bag with her as she posed for a picture on the bridge. In the backdrop of the photo, a picturesque valley along with green lush trees and a flowing river can be seen.

In June 2019, Zaira Wasim took to. her Facebook account and shared the news of her leaving the acting industry. She in her post wrote, “Five years ago, I made a decision that changed my life forever. As I stepped my foot in Bollywood, it opened doors of massive popularity for me. I started to become the prime candidate of public attention, I was projected as the gospel of the idea of success and was often identified as a role model for the youth. However, that’s never something that I set out to do or become, especially with regards to my ideas of success and failure, which I had just started to explore and understand.”

Talking more about Zaira Wasim, she rose to fame when she essayed a character of young Geeta Phogat in Dangal. The film was directed by Nitesh Tiwari and also starred Aamir Khan, Fatima Sana Sheikh, and Sanya Malhotra. The film went on to become one of the most successful films of all time. She was then featured in Advait Chandan’s Secret Superstar. Her last film before she quit acting was Shonali Bose’s Sky Is Pink. Now that the actress has dropped a photo of herself after whole two years, it was a pleasant delight for the fans.
