After four years of being married, Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet are calling it quits. On Jan 12, Jason disclosed their breakup on Instagram, citing the reasons behind their divorce.

“We’ve all felt the pinch and upheavals of this transformative period. “A transformation is taking place, and our household is experiencing and developing as a result of the seismic transformations that are taking place,” he wrote in a message shared on his social media website.

“And thus we communicate the Family sorrow that we are cutting ties in wedlock,” he concluded. We’re sharing this not because it’s breaking news, but so that we can enjoy our lives with integrity and transparency.” Jason, went on to state that the “love among them continues” and that his relationship with his long-term partner is “evolving in areas it desires to be understood and experienced.”

“We empower each other to be who we should be striving to become,” he continued. Our steadfast commitment to this holy life and our children is that we must show our children what is possible.” The Aquaman star ended the joint declaration by stating that he and Lisa were “Residing the Promise” and wishing for love to triumph.

In conjunction with the parting text, Jason included many photographs in the post, including one of a sunsets skyline and another of a woman cradling a baby bird wearing a “May your spirit yell love” shirt. Despite the fact that the couple didn’t marry until 2017, they started dating in 2005 after connecting via close acquaintances. Lola, born in 2007, and Nakoa-Wolf, born in 2008, are their two children.
