Jason Momoa’s new Aquaman look steals the show

Marvel is on a roll this year as it has been sending back-to-back releases. After Black Widow, Shang Chi: the Legend of the Ten Rings, and now Eternals to hit the theatre soon, it has released a new look of Aquaman. Taking to Instagram the Game Of Thrones actor shared the two new first looks of his new costume for his next Aquaman movie titled Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.

“Second round. New suit. More action. #aquaman Aloha j,” he captioned the picture. The two new looks tell us that this is how an Aquaman fan should be expecting to see the star. While one of the suits is the earlier older orange-green suit that he has acquired across the course of the first movie, the second one looks like a brand-new suit.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is a superhero film based on DC Comics and is the 13^th film in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). Directed by James Wan the film has a screenplay by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, It also stars Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, besides Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry / Aquaman.

Even the director took to Instagram sharing the first look of Aquaman for the sequel. “Here’s @prideofgypsies in the classic #Aquaman suit AND a sneak peek at his other outfit — the stealth suit. Atlantean tech based on cephalopod’s camouflaging ability. David Leslie Johnson and I were inspired by the 80’s “blue suit”, he captioned the picture.

If reports are to be believed, it was Momoa who pitched a sequel story for Aquaman during the filming of the first film. After Wan was confirmed as the director of the film in August last year, he announced the sequel title in June this year. The filming of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom was said to have begun mid this year. So far, the Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is scheduled to release on December 2022.
